Another doctors appointment this morning. Nothing much has changed he said. He did strip my membranes again and told me that this time he would make sure that it hurt. Okay thanks doc! We will see if it worked. My belly is measuring small so his prediction for her size is 6lbs. 12 oz. I told him that I really don't feel like she is that small. haha So we wait another week and see if anything has happened.
On another note my friend Meg went in last night to be induced. I'm so excited and happy for her!! Hopefully she has had her sweet little girl by now! :) Congrats Meg, Andrew, and Dillon. What a great addition to the family.

Nothing New Here
Does time move backwards???? I think at this point it does. Nothing major has happened this week...just lots of aches and pains!! I am looking forward to going home after work today because Auntie Chelsea is painting a tree in the nursery for me. I'm overly excited to see how it turns out. I'll post pictures of it when I get home. As for now we just wait and wait... And I get bigger and bigger! haha I know it will be worth every moment once we get to see her.

Ready or NOT???!?
Another week...another doctors appointment. Today he is going to be stripping my membranes. Yikes I hear it hurts but then again it's just the beginning to a much more painful process!! As I hear from different people that it could send me into labor right away. :) I wouldn't be disappointed. haha I say that now! I took a picture of my belly this morning with my dress on but of course I left it at home. I'll try to upload it later. I just wanted to update everyone before I forgot. To be continued...

Tick Tock
Well we have some exciting news. I went to the doctor this morning and I have some technical words to entice all of you. He said that I'm 2cm dilated, 70% effaced, and that she is stationed. Technically that sounds like a lot but realisticly I could go 3 or 4 more weeks. He did say that he thought I would go in the next week though. But not to get my hopes up. haha Too late doc!

I think I've lost my marbles!
Only a few weeks left and when people say that the last month is the worst, they aren't kidding!! I try really hard not to complain too much because I know in the end it will be all worth it but some days I just want to scream. haha It's true!! All the parts of your body that you didn't think could hurt...DO! I've just decided to deal with the lack of sleep but with no sleep then the brain doesn't work well or in my case at all! So sorry for anything I've missed, forgotten, or wasn't told five times in order for me to even remember. I told myself since I was taking really good vitamins that the memory loss wouldn't be there...wrong again!!
On the bright side I have had two amazing showers in the last few weeks. The first one was in Hanover (which is by Albertville). My sister, cousin, and aunt put that one on together. I was able to see a bunch of my cousins that I don't ever get to see. The oldest one there was my dad's Aunt Alice who is 92!! We always get a kick out of her. Great food, lots of family and friends, and LOTS of amazing gifts.
The second one was in Detroit Lakes. Aron's sisters put it on. Monessa had a great idea of doing a book theme. Along with the gifts people brought they were suppose to bring a favorite childhood book. I received soooo many great books and presents!!! We had a great turnout as well. Lots of friends were able to make it to that one. Plus I can't forget all the yummy food as well!!
Thanks to my family for putting together these two events. I had a wonderful time and this little girl is going to be very spoiled from all the great gifts we received!!!
Stay tuned.

Checking off the list
Here are a few pictures of the baby's room before and after paint. As you can see I'm not a fan of pink. ;) Also the top one has her crib in it. We (me more then Aron) are counting down the days until her arrival. Got the car seat/stroller combo today. Which is black and grey. So excited to use it!! It was also exciting just putting it together. :) I'll try to post some pictures of it as well as a new belly picture. Not that anyone is wanting to see that anymore but I have to keep it going until the end. haha

Anticipation
I think this is the point in pregnancies when everyone just wants it to be over. Not saying that we want our babies to be born early! Of course we want them to be ready to enter this world without having to have special equipment to help them through the first few weeks. I'm just talking about the anticipation of seeing your baby. The way you will feel not having to carry around a watermelon in your stomach. How your insides will like not having to be pushed around, kicked, punched, and sometimes forced into places they have never been before. How you won't have to ask someone else to pick something off the ground that you just dropped because you can no longer bend over that far. I'm very thankful though that I haven't had any swelling. I make sure to drink plenty of water and keep up on my walking. Which has become harder to do as well. But as much as I try to tell myself to be patient I can't wait to see my little girl's face and hold her for the first time. So for all the anticipation we go through I know it will be well worth it in the end.

Name that Baby
I feel like we are having a game going to figure out what to name our little girl. I think of names and usually Aron just agrees with me. Although I did find out that he might be holding back on me for which one he likes the best. Even though I would like it to be a surprise to all of you I just can't seem to figure out what I like best. So I'm going to have a little game. All you have to do is comment under this post to which name you like the best and hopefully yours gets chosen. Here are the three that we love...Stella, London, and Carley. So let the games being.

Is it summer yet??
The 'family' made it out to the lake last night. It was a beautiful evening and the dogs really enjoyed being able to be in the water. I'm sooo looking forward to spending more time at the lake. But everyone beware...yes I will be wearing my bikini this summer. I can just hear my dad now..."Go cover yourself up!" haha Oh well at least I'll have a tan belly. ;) I hope you are all enjoyed the beautiful weather as much as we are.

Keeps Getting Better
Today was the 28 week ultrasound day. I was so excited going into the appointment because I thought that for sure I would come out with great pictures. First off she was wanting to put the hands over her face and then we the tech would try to take a picture she would move. That busy little girl. Everything else looks good though. Her body is in the right position for natural delivery. Lets hope she stays there!! Also the tech told us that we could come back next week if we didn't like the pictures. Aron and I both agreed that we would just wait. Aron said that she will have plenty of pictures taken of her once she is born. :)

28 weeks and Mothers Day
As you can probably see I slept on my right side last night and I have marks from my clothes that look kind of like stretch marks. So I had to take a picture of my left side too! It's crazy to think that I only have 12 weeks to go. YAY! I can't wait. Starting this coming week we have birthing classes one night a week for the next five weeks. I'm looking forward to learning some new things and I know Aron is too. Although he might not admit it. ;) To all the Mommies out there Happy Mothers Day!!

Cold Cold Go Away
So I was hoping that I didn't get sick during pregnancy, besides the typical morning sickness, but my wishes didn't come true. At first I thought it was just allergies since I have had so many clients come in with allergy issues this year. But no...I ended up getting a cold. Have you ever had a cold where you weren't able to take anything for it. Let me just tell you it's horrible. I know that you can take Tylenol and some other over the counter drugs but I just didn't want to put anything into my body that I couldn't try to fight off on my own. Has anyone heard of a Neti-Pot before...that has been my new best friend. Except for at night when I am so plugged up I can't use it. Also taking lots of Vitamin C and of course my packet of prenatals. But I think the worst part of being sick when I'm pregnant is that I have to drink lots of fluids and have to go to the bathroom so much that every time I sneeze I have to cross my legs and hope I don't pee my pants. haha Sounds kind of funny but when you have a baby resting on your bladder you never know what's going to happen! Aron has taken good care of me when he can. Work kind of gets in the way. :) He did make me some yummy chicken noodle and veggie soup last night. I hope the cold season has stayed away from your homes and that you can go outside and enjoy the spring.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!
Can you see her little face in this picture? So cute! Aron told me at lunch that I can't spoil her only he can. ;) Yeah right! The tech said that she weighs one pound already and everything looks wonderful. They bumbed up my due date to August 3rd but my doc said he still like to stick to the first due date which is August 8th.

Half Way There
Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the nice spring weather we are having. I've been able to get out and take General for some walks, which he loves!! Chief is more content laying on the couch and waiting for us to get back. :) Silly boys. So I'm pretty excited for Friday to get here. We get to have the big ultrasound and see whether it will be a boy or girl. I think it's going to be a boy but almost everyone else thinks it will be a girl. Either way we are excited!! I'm feeling a lot more movement and more gas these last few days! haha Not the most pleasant part of the pregnancy. Aron gets home tonight from British Columbia and since I went to Florida the last week I haven't seen him in a few weeks. I wonder if he'll think the belly has grown. I'll let you guys know on Friday what it is. So excited!! Have a great week.

Another Doctors Visit
I feel like by the end of this pregnancy my doctor and I will be best buds. :) It's actually nice to be able to have someone answer all the crazy questions that you might have and knowing that they don't think any question is too ridiculous! Nothing much was new today at the visit though. I did the standard testing they do at every visit weight (I don't want to talk about it), blood pressure (80/60), and finally the baby's heartbeat (150). Dr. Christenson told me that if his blood pressure was that low he would be laying on the ground. haha He said it was nothing to alarmed about I just have to stand up slowly so I don't get too dizzy. The most exciting part of the visit was that I was able to schedule my next appointment which will be the big ultrasound. So in three weeks we'll be able to find out if it's a boy or girl. YAY!!! Stay tuned for another tummy picture and on March 26th I'll let you all know what this little munchkin will be. I can hardly wait! Happy Friday to you all.

Doctor
Hey! I thought that I would update you on my doctors appointment that I had today. Everything is looking good. I was able to hear the heartbeat officially for the first time. It sounded like the little one was sure moving around. The doc said at first the heartbeat was 170 and then he said 160-150. What a great feeling to actually hear the baby! Happy Friday Everyone! Enjoy your weekend.

Hormones
Hey everyone. I know I haven't had much to say the last couple weeks so I thought that I better update you. We are now into week fourteen(to help my sister out...that's three and a half months). It seems as though time is flying by. Some days are better then others of course. I titled this blog 'hormones' for a good reason. At least I have some excuse to my craziness. ;) But being pregnant is very emotional (both good and bad). Until you experience it first hand no one will ever be able to explain the way it enters and leaves you. Thankfully I have a very easy going and patient husband! Next week I will put up another picture of my ever growing tummy. Of course I think that it's a lot bigger then most people think. Enjoy your week and stay tuned for updates.

A day in the life of a pregnant lady
At this time in my pregnancy I'm feeling a little...bloated I would say. I'm not far enough along to start showing but man am I having trouble buttoning my pants. ;) I wasn't sure when this part of my pregnancy would start or what I would even think about it. Well I can say about the in between stage is that all I want to do is run home and put on my pajamas. Except for today when I was getting ready for work. I was thinking about what I was going to wear because nothing is fitting right. Which is always a challenge for a girl that wants to look good in everything she wears. I thought about these gray dress pants I have that I just happened to wash yesterday. Much to my surprise when I put them on they actually fit and all I could think to myself was...HALLELUJAH! I still have one pair of pants that I can button. Oh the little joys of pregnancy that make your day!

Twelve Weeks
Here's a picture of my belly at twelve weeks. I've been pretty sick my first trimester so I haven't grown too much.
Could it be...
On November 29 I decided that it was time to take a pregnancy test. Thinking to myself that this would be another negative I wasn't to optimistic on the outcome. Much to my surprise the test came back positive. I was over at my sister-in-laws and couldn't share my excitement yet so I snuck into the bathroom to call Aron at home. The excitement was a little shocking to us at the beginning but as the days go by we get a little more excited each and every day.

Here's a picture from the night I found out.
Playing twister with my nieces.
